hi, i work 31.5hrs with a 30 min unpaid lunch break 5 days a week in a shop.. we are told that we can only take our annual leave in a 1 week block from january to april, from may to august i can take 2 weeks, frim september to november can take your last week, and no holidays allowed in december.

does anyone know if any of the above holiday conditions are actually legal, where they dictate when you are to take your holidays?

    thanks

Completely legal once it's in your contract / terms of employment

Pretty much every company will have certain limits and restrictions on holidays and Ireland is pretty easy going in that regard. Spanish are very restricted as an example. You don't even get to pick the week in some cases
