Sealant and wax

Just looking for a bit of advice on whether I should apply collinite 476 wax over chemical guys V4 polish and sealant?

I've pretty much neglected the regular car washing routine recently and only now do it on a really need it basis!!

However I gave car a good wash this evening and dug out some products I got back a couple of years ago when I had a lot more time on my hands and thought a bit of detailing might be a productive way to pass the time😉

So I applied a coat of chemical guys V4 polish and sealant and tbf it did a good job, brought the colour up well. I also have a tin of Collinite 476 and I was wondering if there is any advantage form a paint protection perspective to add a layer of wax to the V4 sealant, or am I better off just leaving the sealant on its own?

Some will say to leave it with the sealant but you can put the wax on top of the sealant if you want

Thanks. I did a quick Google search and some lads said the wax doesn't actually add to the level of protection and as it doesn't last as long as the sealant it can actually reduce the lifespan of the sealant. Others disagree..... Others say add wax on sealant gives you a deeper and wet look colour rather than adding to the paint protection but doesn't harm the sealant and you just have to top up the wax more frequently.

Tbh I'm anything but OCD on the detailing front so all I'm really looking for is paint protection that lasts as long as possible. Looking out at the miserable weather this morning I can see some serious beading on the car, something not witnessed for a couple of years at this stage😉 I may leave it be as this stuff takes a lot of time and the baby birds are chirping like hell😂
