Silly to hate drugs?

Is it silly to hate 'drugs'? I put quotations around that term because it has an extremely negative connotation in our society. I know a religious woman who broke up with her husband for his mild weed use yet abuses Nurofen Plus (codeine) and Ultram (tramadol) as if those aren't drugs.

No doubt, that drugs can destroy your life but the statistics show that most people who try or drugs don't get addicted.

I think drugs are a tool that can be used responsibly. Just because misuse is a thing doesn't mean they are all bad.
