Zipp carbon tubulars 404

Hi there

I have a set of zipp 404 carbon tubulars wheels 11speed. Bought brand new in 2016. Used for racing seasons 2016-18. Have approx 3500km done. Well looked after and are in mint condition. I am hoping to sell. There are new tubular tyres on these also but haven't been used in a few years.

What would be a reasonable price to sell them for? They were around the €2000 mark when bought new without the tyres.

You see tubular wheels listed on Adverts for between 3-700.

Tubular wheels are harder to shift as lots gone tubeless

You may try for a bit more but not many are looking for tubular any more.

Maybe best to hang onto them if possible

For comparison sake I bought a set of 404 firecrest clinchers approx 12 months ago for €700.

I'd say €400-€500 is about the money for tubs but as per everything they're worth what someone is willing to pay. Throw them up for €700 and see what you get offered. A lot of ads on adverts etc advertising zipp 60s as 404s so prices can be all over the shop.

A friend sold a pair of DT Swiss tubs for 500-550 recently, but not on adverts (Facebook), so if they are really good, you might get that if there are decent tubs on. Problem is none of the triathletes want tubs and there tends to be more of them and generally less broke than cyclists.

That being said.. 2016 Zipps.. that was before they changed to the improved rear hubs, so even though I do like a zipp tubular myself, I'd be lowballing you to death for that reason alone. Folks who know their stuff might avoid them for that reason.
