Looking for a reasonably priced inverter Welder around the 140-160amps would suffice.

Anyone any suggestions. Would plan to run it off the generator occasionally.

I have used one of these (my pal has one) and it's a cracking machine. It mentions that it's gen friendly too, so must have an AVR in it (best to get supplier to confirm that)

They do a 140A as well which would be a bit cheaper

Another one to consider would be Parweld - They're around a long time and have a 3 year warranty

R Tech are also good but a bit more pricey

The last 2 are on the - wholesale welding - site (won't link for me)

I needed AC and DC, and I run a Parweld XT202p, couldn't be happier with it. 1 plant to do all materials, even stick if I were minded to.

I ran a SIP T166 MIG plant for a few years before that, was reasonably happy with it, but I found getting consistent results hard, wire feed rate and voltage are a bit harder to balance than left hand feed and amperage control. Particularly once you add a foot pedal. the Parweld guys brought me over one toi a trade show in the RDS so I wouldn't have double-VAT and duty to pay.

Thanks for that recommendation on the jefferson. Picked up the 160amp a few weeks ago and it's running full amps perfectly on my jenny. 👍
