    I'm fairly certain that's a fake trailer @peteeeed

Ok so is this fake then or is there really going to be a Star Wars show called this?

The teaser trailer in in the first post is fake, but there will be a show called Skeleton Crew and the image in the Empire tweet is taken from it. It's currently in production and will be released sometime this year.

That does not look great. My expectations for this are very low.

    Gave up halfway through Ahsoka.

    Didn't bother starting The Acolyte.

    Probably won't start this either.

TBF, this looks like something aimed squarely at kids. It's giving Goonies, Honey I Shrunk the Kids, etc. 'ragtag group of children on an adventure' vibes.

First episode is a lot of fun, very 80s amblin/Spielberg adventure vibes. Aimed at kids really but it looks really good, lot of money spent on sets and a lot of the tech used is lovely.

After second episode wouldn't say it's 100% aimed at kids, same age rating as most of the star wars stuff just more kid focused.

I'm remembering that line from small soldiers, "it's not violence it's action, kids love action"

Like the above few comments it's like a 80s kid movie, and not a 2024 kid movie.

    Enjoyed it in any case.

Its not bad. I agree uts aimed at kids a lot and I thoughtI had seen some parts in it before but it is fun. The first two episodes were fun anyway.

Setting up that particular band of pirates as the antagonists, I suppose.

I wouldn't say it's superb but so far it's pretty watchable, seems to have picked a lane and is just staying in it (80's Goonies vibe) which is a welcome change.

Only watched the first episodes so far but I have to say I liked that, it has something alright, , massive 80's film vibes which is great. Has potential but will probably trickle out.

Ended up watching the episode that were available, really enjoyed that, way better than some of the other recent Star wars stuff released by Disney.

Latest episode probably the weakest so far imo.

So the pirate to be one of the parents or the leader of At Attin?

Booby traps and a rigged treasure room? Most Goonies like episode so far.

Glad about what happened with the saber. Would've been annoying if he suddenly knew how to use it.

    it's a kid show, right?

i haven't jumped into it yet.

Yeah but as an adult I'm loving it and I'm no SW fanatic

Yeah as had been said it is basically Space Goonies or, ahem, Pirates of the Galaxyean. But that's probably why it does work as a Disney production imo. I can almost imagine their execs salivating when it was pitched. No real lore to be faithful to, sets that could be a theme park, and over the top Pirate robots! Good production tho, nothing new but grand for late night brain idle viewing

    But

    "The Supervisor" isn't

enjoyable and action packed last episode, I am guessing with that ending likely to be more.

Im not sure it pretty much wrapped itself up, they could touch on it in other films / TV.

typical Star Wars with easily defeated systems and baddies who can't aim.

Overall enjoyed that Star Wars yarn. Nice touch with the Tantive iv sweeping in.

It was "fine". I feel that saying it's anything more than that is overrating it. It definitely doesn't need a second season.

It was competently made, perfectly watchable, relatively inoffensive and didn't make a mess of already established lore or characters with regard to George Lucas' Star Wars.
