Are Vodafone still doing this does anyone know? I’m looking to get a Blackvue dashcam with LTE support and would need a nano SIM with Vodafone to support this.

It seems that they have stopped selling the V by Vodafone smart devices and there's no mention of getting a sim card either

As far I am aware you should be able to use any simcard in them

Ok. But the plan price will be substantially higher that it was with the V SIM service. I don’t think any mobile provider here provides a data only service?

Lycamobile does for €4.99 per 30 days for 3GB. Still technically a phone sim but you can buy data only bundles on it without buying calls/texts

Anyone switch away from V-sim? , was happy using them in my Reolink 4G camera for €5 a month. But now need to switch away from Vodafone after July

If you are bill pay with Vodafone see what they can do for you with a 5GB per month data add on. It’s like adding a new SIM/phone no. to your profile. It will be a separate account. Go into a Vodafone store to enquire. It’s €5 per month and you top up like pay as you go.

If its useful for anyone. I was able to go with lycamobile , data package €4.99 for 28 days. pay as you go option. inneded to insert sim into phone first to activate. then put sim into camera and its working fine. lycamobile app shows data usage and can top-up when i need to …so far so good.
