Insulated electric kettle

just wondering if anyone uses an insulated electric kettle, like a Vektra? been thinking that it's daft to boil the kettle (always try to limit to just the amount needed) and whatever remaining boiled water unnecessarily cools down until next use. are they worth the extra price?
