    Hello All,

wondering if anyone has recently bought a Corolla touring sports ?

if so , can you give an opinion on how you find it and if it’s a car you’d recommend.

also, what’s it like economy wise

    thanks

    Friend got one.

    Observations:

It’s quite economical for a petrol if driven lightly, doing similar mpg to my 2.0 TDI which isn’t driven lightly.

It’s reasonably stylish and the standard equipment isn’t bad

It has been made lightweight in areas like the interior, good few corners cut too (superficially) to save money once you start looking.

Theyre tremendously popular in Ireland, and they will be very reliable, much like every Corolla, slightly cheap interior, not an amazing drive, but well built.

I do like the current Corolla. It drives well, is generally comfortable and the noise isn't too bad. My only gripe is with Toyota who insist on sticking in the LHD stereo into the Corolla despite other models having a proper RHD conversion. When the Japanese and Australian models have the correct stereo, and the Yaris/Camry has exactly the same stereo except in the right configuration - why do they go so cheap on this?

It's been a gripe of mine with all models on RHD conversions tbf, but still!

Is it just the volume knob on the passenger side you’re talking about, or is there more?

I wonder if it’s due to the fact that European models are built in the UK, and Australian models are probably built in Japan

The European saloon is still built in Turkey.
