Red Plastic Restoration

Hi guys,

I have a Honda Quad at the moment and over the years its red plastic panels have faded making it look more "Pink" now than red.

Could anyone recommend my any compounds etc to help restore the color.

I was going to buy a buffing/polishing pad's kit to use with a drill and some Meguiar's compound.

But if anyone know's of a better alternative please let me know, would be greatly appreciated.

Polytrol would probably do a good job on that.

Hairdryer or heat gun, don't go mad with the heat but it should bring back the colour.

I have done this method before on tractors, However isint it damaging the clear coat when you do this?

Your Rolly tractor has clear coat?

It's plastic, good clean and a little heart, maybe coat/polish it with something afterwards..

Used heat on mud guards and plastic extensions to restore color. Doesnt last long though

Your right it's probably not going to last long and there's only so many times you can do it, would something like this be any use https://www.owatrol.ie/product/polytrol/

There should be a few detailers around here somewhere that can confirm.

If you can’t get Polytrol, Brayt R1 is the same.
