    Hi all,

have been thinking about a solar installation for a while now, one thing that struck me last night is that instead of going on my roof, perhaps i could do a smaller install on the flat roof of my shomera. It is 4m * 3m, any idea how many panels i could get on that? and is it possible to have the electrics in the shed section of the shomera (its has its own 32amp fuseboard) rather than in the main house?

    thanks in advance.

Panels are 1722 x 1134 x 30mm. Would be 3.4m wide to have 3 in a row. See what shape you can get to get the most on it. You could decide to let them run beyond the roof. Would only be cosmetic as would be bolted onto the metal solar fixing, which is bolter to the shed roof.

I'd deffo recommend getting solar, and the shed is a perfect place to start. You can always get the main roof done in time and get the grant. But at least you're producing from Day1 on the shed.
