The reviews are generally good. I wouldnt pay much attention to the low ncap safety result, it only scores low because of the lack of active safety tech, but the car itself is safe.

Am tempted myself now that Dacia have released a removable camping box/bed.

Have one since the new year! All good, for 3 car seats you have to pick them to work - chicco fold and go works great in the middle due to its narrow base.

1 Litre is more than powerful enough - run it mostly in eco mode. 1 star ncap - is against the latest tests, some 7 seaters are against tests that have expired. It's a little noisy but all good apart from that, climate control and sensors all around make life easier, along with auto lights and wipers. Any questions just fire away...

I’d have no hesitation in buying one, if I was that way inclined.

do you get many free services when you buy new and what's the story with the warranty?? I have never purchase a new car.

No free services, the dealers don’t make much on them. They come with a 3 year warranty. I’ve a 5 year 100k warranty - you get it through finance or if you buy from Blackstone motors without finance.

    There a great car!

I've yet to read a negative review, it's a very capable, honest car that doesn't pretend to be anything that isn't. If you want a cheap, new seven seater they seem to be a no brainer.

    Hi there

I got a new expression trim Jogger in January. Moved from a toyota Verso and its a massive improvement. Has most toys

and drives well. I'd say returns about 6.2 l/100km in mixed driving. Have fitted a towbar for bike rack and it

brought family and 4 bikes on motorway no problems although there's no acceleration on motorway when fully loaded.

Would recommend if it fits your needs. Try a test drive etc...

    Any specific Q's just post.

    P

Is there any chance that Dacia will introduce the automatic Jogger here?

is that common pratice that a dealer like blackstone motors give 2 years extra warranty ?? would make a big difference

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10 brogiebears

Their running a promotion: I can’t link but if you Google them you’ll see it

I’m also getting around 6l/100km with the car. 5 year warranty is a nice touch, also comes with 5 years roadside assistance.

How much was the towbar? Did you get it with the dealer or somewhere else?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 316 ✭✭photosmart

Dealers don't have towbars available yet so I got mccabes in rathdowney to fit it - very happy so far - they can do it in

about 2 - 3 hours while you wait. I'd recommend them

These look like great cars. I nearly hit one in a church carpark in Galway.(not during mass hours) I was turning in the car park and there is a blind corner on the way to the exit and they shot around the corner while I was over the other side of the road way. My fault really but it is usually very quiet as in nobody around but on this day and exact time I was turning they decided to come in the car park.

Yes, the hybrid model has a 6 speed auto and a much nicer 1.6 litre turbo 4 pot and should be out by August. Pricing is said to be under €30k which is quite good considering manual Corolla Versos (which have almost identical dimensions to the Jogger) were that price 18 years ago.

Yes the hybrid model engine combo looks v good however I think that the price walk

for it in Ireland will be quite steep (I'd guess 4k more) given our tax/vrt and dealer margin. Dacia have increased

their prices quite steeply with the recent models and while still good value compared to

the other main brands I think they're starting to get a bit ahead of themselves. Considering most may go for

the mid spec expression model then a 4kish jump would put it at 32k which is not really budget territory.

Anyway im finding the 1 litre grand for every day driving in the Jogger although it does come up short when

car is loaded and on motorway.

Good point though about the Verso's - my brain hasn't really registered the very high inflation figures

of the last couple of years - maybe 32k isn't that bad considering...

A C4 Spacetourer in auto is €40k, even a Berlingo automatic with 5 seats is €42k. I don’t think there are any other 7 seaters on the market cheaper than that? You get into stuff like the 5008 in auto and you’re knocking on the door of €50k

Yes you're right - even at 32k its prob good value
