I'm thinking of buying a docking station and controller for my Steam Deck. I don't want to be ordering stuff online and not being able to get it working. Are there any shops in the Dublin/Bray area that would sell the stuff with staff who know how to set it up?

You can use pretty much any USB C docking station, there's loads on Amazon to choose from. You won't find any of them in local retailing outlets I think. I have the steam dock from steam and it's literally plug and play, there is no set up required. It will ask you to download the firmware once plugged it and away you go.
Controller wise, take your pick from anything in Smyths, Currys etc.
