    The inventor of the superpub and joint owner of Capital bars has sadly died.


    He gave Dublin Howl at the moon, bad bobs, cafe en seine, break for the border, Zanzibar, The Dandelion, The George and of course the original O'Dwyer's of Mount Street. (And others)


    Decent guy too and I think was only in his 60's and was planning a new venture at the former Aib bank on upper baggot street beside searsons.

    Sorry to hear this. Did a lot of work for him through a subcontractor at one time. Certainly no problem getting paid. RIP.

    Ah. Very sorry to hear that.

    Worked for him back in the eighties and did further work as a contractor for himself and Des in the nineties.

    Both gentlemen and proper old fashioned publicans. R.I.P.
