solar cable entry under roof tile

I had solar panels installed last year and I'm concerned about the way the cable entry into the roof was done, it looks from the photo that the cable is just brought under the ridge tile with nothing to stop it fraying or keep it out of the sun/weather.

There's a few other issues with the install but the cable entry seems very badly done.

Any thoughts? TIA

This seems normal, the roofers did that with my panels today and they said that's standard

However, I'll admit I haven't seen them go under a ridge tile, I always thought they were cemented in place

The entry in my case is the same as this at 3min 26s into this video. The entry is under a panel so no wires are exposed to sunlight.

mmm, I wonder have we the same installer? My ridge tiles are 'dry' no cement and they are fixed by screws & clamps

Thats a better job all right but I notice he put a small hole in the felt which is a no-no!

I brought my wires in through the flashing that came with the hangers. Was able to slide them in next to the sponge/foam.

All my cables are hidden under my panels

There are various UV protective cable sleeves available. Surely down and in through soffit is far more preferable than piercing the membrane and lifting slates or tiles slightly.

Doing my solar at the moment, it's slate but very impressed with how the cables will enter the roof with this
