Projoy Fireswitch & DC Isolator Wiring

    Two questions

    Question1:

If my panels are wired directly into my fire switch (in close proximity of both panels and inverter), do I really need an additional DC Isolator? If AC power is lost (or I manually switch off the AC Isolator) then the Fire Switch should isolate the DC power correct?

    Question2:

The fire switch power cable has black, white and green cable. Am I correct in that Black is Live, White Neutral and Green Earth?

For No. 1 that's how my installer wired them so it must be right since I got inspected as well and the inspector said nothing about that setup.

Having a DC isolator beside the inverter is handy, if anyone is to work on the system, Ac off, DC off work away.

    They are also lockable too.

..and it's only a couple of quid, there are so many boxes around my inverters now I've lost count

Except you have one more thing to break with dodgy connections, thought I saw one post here that had small burns inside one of them Dc boxes due to loose connections.

Of course if wired properly it shouldn't happen in the first place. 😆
