    Hi,

Is there a standard set of competencies linked to these two grades? They don't seem that commonly used (or at least advertised) in the civil service and the ads I've seen seem more specific to the role than a standard civil service application structure. My Google skills might be lacking though.

Also, would the Grade 1 role be seen as a senior manager, leads a team, head of a unit type role? Or could be for a highly specialised role but not a manger per se? Just curious about that.
