No VAT and Custom Duty on Certain Vehicles from UK?

    Hi all,

looking to buy a Triumph Street Triple 765RS.

Since lack of availability locally, exploring options from other countries.

Post brexit there have been a lot of changes and in general made importing vehicles from the UK a lot more expensive.

But after looking at the rules, would a Triumph Street Triple(Country of Origin - UK: No customs duty to be paid) and mileage above 6,000Kms (No VAT to be paid) be a decent import?

    or am I missing something?

There will be VAT due as the UK is outside the EU. The 6000km/6 months exemption is only for EU origin vehicles.

    VRT is potentially payable too.
