-How does he think that makes Diabetics Feel?

-Would he like if everybody turned around and said / broadcast on TV "I'd rather have Diabetes / "Boring Heart Disease" / xyz condition than be told I had HIV", or

-If he'd made the same remark to other guests that might be on the show dealing with a medical condition that he would - much rather be told he had HIV than the medical condition that they were dealing with + that they were on the show speaking about."

Infact isn't Ironic, Hypocritical + Unempathetic of Rory, considering that what he is constantly speaking out against, people making other people feel - less than - because they themselves feel better / normal because they are not dealing with Diabetes / in his own words "somthing Boring like Heart Disease" / HIV/ XYZ condition, they percieve themselves to be more "normal" be it in lifestyle, or because they dont have eg HIV, + yet here he is practically saying thank God I dont have Diabetes,

So he gives off this Superior Attitude, when he says "he'd be much more upset if his GP said he had Diabetes than HIV"

-Ryan should have called him out on what he said - as Ryan would have, if Rory had said - that he'd rather be told he'd HIV - than have another form of Diversity.

-Maybe he's just using his HIV status to go on lots of shows - to garner votes + public support - who knows ...

- but he should realise that what he says is heard by an audiance who have the medical conditions he is snearing at- GREAT FOR HIM THAT HE THINKS HE HAS AN EASIER CONDITION TO DEAL WITH THAN DIABETES OR "BORING HEART DISEASE" AS HE MENTIONS etc - BUT HE SHOULD HAVE COMPASSION FOR + NOT MOCK / CROW OVER THOSE THAT HAVE CONDITIONS REMAIN DIFFICULT TO DEAL WITH - AS HE WAS ONCE IN THAT PLACE HIMSELF

- He is Judging + saying, he's glad that he doesnt have xyz condition +he just makes others who do have them, ie these conditions - the ones hes glad he doesnt have - feel bad- because they're still dealing with them - ie he's managing to project onto others with Diabetics / Medical Conditions - the hurt he expierenced from others eg when they're reaction to him was - that they were glad they didnt have HIV + making him aware of it + letting him know it.

You say genetics and the generalise. My grandmother was 103 worked in a farm all her life up at the crack of dawn to go and get the cattle and would do a 2 mile walk twice a day up to 99. Those who have problems it's down to how they work but as another has said those in other jobs can be overweight and be worse
