35 hour per week contract so one hour for lunch?

Hi, I started a new job. It's hard to get hold of my manager but my contract is for 35 hours per week so I'm entitled to an hour for lunch? I do 7 hours in total per day if I take an hour. I ask because everyone is on different contracts in the department I work so I want to know my rights. I will also email my Manager again about it.

Are you in public or private sector?

It really depends on contract. I used to have a half hour unpaid + 2x15 min paid in private sector or an hour unpaid depending on where i was working.

On flexi in public i am required to take a min of 30 min in a 2 hour window but (can last the full 2 hours but are unpaid). We also get 2x tea breaks which we do not have to clock for. They can range from 10-45 min each depending on the day, but are un monitored either way.

I work 35 hours a week but my lunch break isn't included. I have to take a minimum of 30 mins but can take an hour but this time is unpaid. So if I take an hour it's an 8 hour day.

Id say you can take a hour but wont be paid, i do 32 hrs over 4 days, take a hour lunch unpaid.

8-7=1

Therefore you have an hour for lunch.
