Stihl V Husqvarna

Any opinions on these 2 brands. Roughly the same? Had a Tanaka ECV-4501 and the engine is gone. Piston all scored and will probably cost €250 to fix i've been told so I think a new one might be a better option.

Looking at a STIHL MS 181 C-BE (http://www.mower-power.com/shannonside/product.asp?numRecordPosition=6&P_ID=2577&strPageHistory=cat&strKeywords=&SearchFor=&PT_ID=485). Main reason would be the dealers not too far away. Are spares easily got online for Stihl does anyone know or would Husqvarna be better for this?

They're both fine brands and spares got easy. You won't go wrong with either.

You could save a few euro and get the normal version of the 181. The C-BE has only additional novelty showroom functions for sales. It's small cc saw- you're not going to need an ergo start function for it; it'll start easy without. And as for the belt tensioner - I'd prefer the tried and tested scrench tool system, thanks- less to go wrong.
