Buying a new Toyota Yaris Hybrid advice

My car has died and is not reparable so I am planning buy a new Toyota Yaris Hybrid from a Toyota dealer. I have never brought a new car (my previous cars were S/H). I looked on the Toyota web site to get the price ect

I have been warned that the price is likely to be plus about E 1000 for delivery, related charges, which is a pain

I would welcome advice on what else to look out for and to ask for

    Thanks

    Nick

Website prices are recommended retail prices, not on the road/sticker prices. On the road prices usually include delivery, dealer preperation and related charges such as car mats, etc. Metallic paint is usually not standard either but would be included on the windscreen price of the particular car if it has it.

Best ring around a good sample of Toyota dealers for the best price and stock availability but in these times of demand being higher than supply don't expect much of a discount for having no trade-in. Dealers may also want to upsell PCP finance, paint protection products (a waste of money) and back to invoice gap insurance.

On a side note, you could look at the Mazda2 hybrid, it's basically a rebadged Yaris hybrid:

Mazda might be more flexible on pricing to sell a few of those over a Toyota dealer who will no problem selling them.
