I’ll go with Inbetweeners. The humour is hilarious. It’s good, but simple comedy and offers a cheap laugh.

Likewise family guy. Family Guy has some scenes which I thought would make Eike heads explode. Their mocking of Asian people, ridiculing of Jews (Mort Goldman), etc.

N*gger the dog has been cancelled in a way - the memorial stone for the Dambusters has been changed by the RAF to remove his name.

The Dambuster missions were around 80 years ago - no time at all for a retrospective cancelling.

I think you are right.

Lots of shows and movies with what are now considered inappropriate language, themes etc that people claim are "cancelled" are still very much available to watch on many tv or other platforms.

Apparently, my father had a dog with the same name. And another called Hitler. (They might have been family dogs and not his personally). This was in the late 1940s/early 50s, but there wasn't anything nasty about naming them that. I think they were just different times and they thought the names were humorous.

Whether or not they succeed is irrelevant. JK Rowling is trhe obvious candidate and the Guardians of the Galaxy director, James Gunn. Neither canvceled, but both in the crosshairs.

That's a coincidence that there's a thread about this topic. I was just having the exact same conversation with my wife. We notified Sky that we wished to cancel our subscription way back before Christmas, but we're still getting all the same television programmes with all the same celebrities in them and we're really surprised that the service hasn’t been cancelled yet.

Exactly people on twitter etc are now more vocal in complaining about content they find offensive or unacceptable and the snowflake celebrities on the receiving end of this criticism can't handle it so scream and shout about being cancelled usually on the tv or in a major newspaper which is curious for someone who has been 'cancelled'

The fact that a few permanently online gender confused folx with green hair complain about something and call it offensive does not mean that cancel culture exists. I'm saying there is no such thing as cancel culture. People who are offended now have a platform on which to voice their opinion and they are entitled to do that. I agree with what you say about call out culture being more appropriate. Just to give my complete opinion I believe that anyone who is offended by a comedy show or anything they see in media etc is an absolute total and utter moron however I absolutely defend their right to voice their opinion and the only thing worse than the permanently offended are the snowflake celebrities who think they can say what they like and then cry "I'm being cancelled" when they get some backlash. If you are big enough to make an offensive statement be big enough to stand over it.
