HDMI cable substitute

Hi RS, I’m hoping perhaps you might have something ( not sure what it’s called) that would replace a loose HDMI cable I have between a sky box located in one corner of my living room with my wall mounted TV

unfortunately the electrician who chased the power cable into our wall wasn’t the best out there and the original HDMI cable stopped working and we couldn’t pull a replacement cable through the ducting so it’s crudely hanging from one side of the room to the other

is it possible to buy a wireless connection piece of equipment, I don’t mind mounting something small behind the wall mounted TV but placing sky box near or behind TV is not an option

I've had a look at our range and unfortunately i wouldn't have a wireless HDMI transmitter - there are a few wireless options however they work over CAT 6 cable so you would need to convert a Cat6 signal to an HDMI signal. These would be more for running over long distances in an installation.

The only way I think you could do it is with a longer HDMI cable but it would need to be tracked. to the location.

Thanks for the reply David, my problem is I can’t pull a replacement HDMI cable through the wall , I can’t even use the old HDMI cable ( distance 5 metre ) to pull a new one through

Hey Mad_Maxx.

There are wireless HDMI senders out there. We just tend to stay away from them due to how unreliable they can be.

I couldn't even recommend one as I'm not familiar with any of them unfortunately.
