Cable penetration from panel to attic

Hi All, Do you suggest using Dektite or equivalent to pass the solar PV cables through to the attic space on a DIY slate roof install? Or is it possible to feed them up through the flashing that covers the roof hooks?

My solar was brought through a roof vent as it provided a water proof penetration
