What type of car will see if you are able as many have a big cv nut which is tight and needing long 1/2 power bar to loosen when some need an extra 6 foot bar for more torque.

There are ones cut you bond together with superglue but you need to access the car from lower down and be safe under it

Getz is a small car and depends what tools you may have and will need socket to fit cv nut might be 30mm , long power bar to loosen nut , hammer to tap cv in later , jack up car and use a safety stand and remove wheel . Think there are 2 17mm mm bolts and nuts on shock , what i do is tap cv in 1/2 " cut old boot off and with a heavy hammer smack the cv joint on the flat part as your hammer is trying to tap it off towards the wheel.

Only issue you might have is securing the band tight on the new cv boot as it might need a tool. All cv boots have different clips.

It's not really a beginner thing unless you are just fitting a 2 part version. You need good axle stands and heavy duty tools you may not own. The car is off the road until you out everything back together so not ideal.
