Follow up email for a panel?

I was given a place on a public jobs panel last May (a 2-year panel). I wasn't given a number, is that unusual?

Anyway, my main question is, is there any point in writing an email to reiterate my interest at this point? I've gotten a new job since that panel interview, and I think the experience I'm getting in this new role might look good to the hiring panel. Is it worth following up on, or is it only likely to annoy them? Maybe they have a fixed, ordered list, and that's not going to change regardless?

My understanding is that normally you would have a place number on the panel.

Either way, I think you could definitely follow up with them. It probably won't help your offer come any sooner but they might give you an idea of what to expect.

They are also well used to people contacting them but, even if it did annoy then, once they hand you off to your new HR unit you won't hear from them again!
