Grants for retrofit during renovations

    Hi all

Apologies if this has been asked before but I can't find answers on boards or generally online.

We are looking at doing a big job on a house (extension, renovation etc). As part of this we would naturally be improving the energy efficiency of the house and putting in new windows, insulation, heating system etc.

Is there anywhere that details all of the grants available to a person doing this as part of a bigger job (as opposed to just doing some standalone retrofits like windows etc)?

Also is it likely to be easy enough to work this with a traditional builder or better to conbine a builder and a one stop shop?

    Thanks very much.

Hey, Home Energy Upgrades | Home Energy | SEAI

2 options: Go grant per part of work. As many here have done for solar (max of 2.4k grant). You register for the grant before doing the work.

Or 'one stop shop' where it's a single company that do it all and they subcontract it out. I've no experience of that. It's not your builder doing the work, it's whoever are the 'one stop shop'. Not a wild amount of them according to Registered Providers | One Stop Shops | SEAI - 12 nationwide.

There's one there that also does solar and they are wildly expensive for solar. So that mightn't bod well for their overall pricing.
