How much harder is the 3.2 on fuel than the 2.2?

I've had both...a 2.2 from 2016 to 2019 and a 3.2 from then til now. Mixed driving (pulling a trailer sometimes) I'm getting around 26/27mpg. The 2.2 was slightly more thirsty than the 3.2 when towing but slightly better when unladen.

Quite honestly, I wouldn't let the economy be the deciding factor. My 2.2 engine gave me several major headaches. The 3.2 hasn't missed a beat and is a completely different machine to pull. There was a recall on the 3.2 regarding coolant and the egr...its essential this is done as lots of engines have been sizzled when the coolant ran out without warning.

I'm awaiting a new 2l bi-turbo now and looking forward to how it compares.
