Looking for a set of 6 bolt wheels for my Genesis Croix De Fer. Something along the likes of Mavic Alroads etc. The ones that are on the bike I'll keep for commuting but they're not great.

Anything out there before I order online?

QR or TA? Why specifically 6-bolt? I've a few sets of 6-bolt knocking around but they're quite old and rather basic!

Just that the rotors I have are 6 bolt, but either will do

    ....oh, and QR

You can get the Allroads delivered for under €200. I would have thought you'd be better off getting the centrelock just for future compatability, even if it means paying for new rotors? I've some QR 6-bolts, as I say, for around €100 but they're nothing special! I've some DT Swiss R470's that are TA but you can get the adapters for about €30-40 but by the time you've paid for it all the Allroads are probably a better choice!

Cheers. The cheapest I could find the Allroads for was €290 delivered. Most places they're well over the €300 mark plus delivery.

The status changed and now they're 5 weeks, but they had a front and back wheel selling separately so I ended up getting them and under €200 too! Just had email confirmation that my order has been dispatched. I ended up getting the centre lock version so ordered new rotors.

Thanks again for the heads up

I'm not sure. You'd need to check the small print. Some do, some don't, it appears! Looks like the centrelock don't but the 6-bolt do! Doublechack it though, I just had a quick look as I'm about to dash out.

I've a nice set of lightly used American Classic Terrains 650b's with almost new tyres, will include rotors for €120 they're listed on adverts. would need to run 42mm wide tyres (set 5 in advert), these are listed too. Should fit from memory but will have a lower BB and more prone to pedal strike. I'm also getting a rear wheel built up but should have a set of 29er sun ringle hoops to sell in a few weeks, just getting the rear wheel built onto a more suitable new rear hub. Should be basically new for €80. Used these rims just a few times but too narrow for MTB use. Check out American "Classic 27.5 Bike Wheels 5 sets of Tyres" on adverts
