"A man wearing an Arabic robe is said to have entered one of the Roman Catholic churches targeted with a large machete and begun hitting objects including crosses and candles before stabbing his victim in the neck when he tried to stop him.

The fatal attack occurred after a sexton asked the man to leave a second temple where he had repeated the same behaviour and was chased into the street and attacked.

Police confirmed on Wednesday night they had arrested a suspect, thought to be a man of North African origin aged around 40.

There were unconfirmed reports another three people had been hurt and at least one other church in Algeciras had been targeted.

Prayers for the victims of this attack.

A priest was also stabbed, one of four victims and is in a serious condition.

I wonder if the rent-a-crowd that expressed outrage over that Swedish Koran burner will step up and offer support to the victims?

Waiting for the mental health excuses to be made for this hateful murderer.

RIP to the man who died and may the other victims make a full recovery.

There wouldn’t be victims in the first place if these savages were kept out of Europe to where they belong

My personal fear is that we will see the kind of mass assaults on women that we have seen in Germany and Sweden. Apart from that, the concept that we should open our borders to absolutely anyone is simply wrong.

Mod: Describing a group of people as savages because of ethnic or religious origin is not acceptable in this forum.

The hope is that those who engage in sacrilege and attempted murder be severely, harshly punished in a way they realise the wickedness and gravity of their crime. Sadly this probably won't happen, and this older man will be laughing at the Spaniards.

The media really buried this. On Reddit it was removed from of the biggest politics subs as it was not US based. But negative stories about the Popes were not removed.

Mod: is it against the rules to call murderous terrorists savages now?

Mod: It is most certainly not acceptable to refer to any group of people as murderous savages or terrorists based solely on their ethnicity or religious background in this forum. Doing so will attract immediate sanctions. Lest we forget, this was precisely the type of rhetoric that was commonly applied to Irish Catholics in the UK during the troubles and, of all peoples, we should be aware of the dangers in doing so. Please limit your criticism to individuals committing terrorist acts and known terrorist groups.

This is not something that is up for discussion here, any feedback to the feedback thread only.
