Just wondering if these connections are always correct (i.e. +/- is always in this configuration and not swapped around)

I need to connect another set of panels and my thinking is disconnect the + here, connect it to the - of the new string (2 panels), and then connect the + of the 2 panels here but just to make sure + is always on the right at this switch, don't want to blow the whole string.

That would be a series connection, be careful as you would be adding the voltage. I'd say you'd be better paralelling the voltage but of course that depends on what you're doing and what sort of setup

I'd be weary of adding anything to it that you have DC isolators turned off as that loose insulating tape screams DC electrocution

No that's the installer marking their positives it's not actually holding it in 😂

And no this needs to be series not parallel connecting 2 extra panels to existing 10

Not worried about voltages as the second string already has 12 for some time.

Main thing I want to be sure is that I won't connect them wrong (if even possible) as the MC4 connectors only go male to female anyway
