Anyone not received first government 200e electricity credit yet

I moved electricity suppliers in late October and neither the old nor new supplier said they have my 200e credit both said to contact the other. I'm with BG now who said they received and paid the credit to customers on 27th October but said I didn't join them until 29th October. SSE my old supplier said I left them on 22nd so they never received a credit for me. I've asked BG for complaint number multiple times so I can contact CRU but they won't give me one and tell me to raise one with SSE.

Annoying thing is that BG had told me in December I was with them on the required date but so were lots of others so would take time to process but now have changed tune. Anyone else in same situation and get it sorted?

There cannot be a one week gap from when you left one supplier and joined another. Do you have any bills to prove the actual date you changed supplier?

Contact ESB NETWORKS and give them your MPRN. They were responsible for allocating the payment and will confirm who received the 200 euro. Then ring CRU and get them to give you the correct complaints email for that provider. Email them saying ESB Networks have confirmed they have it.

I’ve been having issues since 1st November too with Electric Ireland telling me they didn’t have it as I changed provider. It’s only now that they have credited my now closed account but I still haven’t got the money.

Thanks yankinlk, first bill arrived today and sure enough it's dated from 23rd October. Surely BG customer service knew this and still gave me the run around!!

Thanks also strawbsm I will do that. What department did you contact esb network on?

To be fair maybe it was unlucky timing and the the "cooling off period" where you are allowed to switch back if unhappy with new supplier. I'd say they will have to go back and pay now that you have that bill date.
