Hi. Kids have never been on a plane before, but we've saved enough for a family holiday this year, one week, mom, dad plus 5 children from age 2-16yrs. We like to visit castles and historical places, just wondering if Krakow would be suitable do you think? Is it safe? Is it very hen/ stag weekend focused?Has anyone been recently and if so how has it adapted to the huge influx of Ukrainians?

I was there last year and absolutely loved it. Found it very accessible, easy to navigate, most people spoke English etc. If you like historical architecture and castles etc., you'll love it! I found it very safe, had zero worries, felt very well 'set up' to accommodate tourists. I spent three days there.

Can't speak from a family point of view as I travel on my own, but remembering back to the places I visited, there were definitely families, kids, etc. in the galleries I was visiting (I went to visit the Museum of Contemporary Art MOCAK which is really cool).

Highly recommend it as a cool city, with a never ending amount of interesting streets, buildings, history. Didn't notice any of the hen/stag stuff but I'm not much of a night owl.
