Replacing 800mm square ensuite shower tray door with new 800mm quadrant unit

I am replacing 800mm square ensuite shower tray door with new 800mm quadrant unit. Tiles will have to be replaced as well. Waste will have to moved slightly.

I need a tiler and a plumber but I am not sure who dismantles the unit and tiles already there.

I have been told I need the plumber to lay the tray before tiler.

Any advice on this as I want it to be simple

Thinking ask the plumber does he do it . Is your shower tray plastic and bendy and replacing the base also on to a solid base.

Unit would need to be installed before tiler comes and do you have spare tiles as bottom ones might need to be renewed as shower unit has a tight bond and might be smashed getting them out.

  • Yea I am replacing all the tiles.

Tray is plastic but the drain is currently in the corner, the new tray is about a foot different.

it sounds like I need the shower and tiles and tray removed

then get pumber in to fix the new tray

    then get tiler to tile

then get plumber back to fit doors and glass

I will try and get my tray removed and get tiles instead as slipping and wobbly on the tray as should have supports to hold heavy people.
