Installing a PIR sensor - cable routing query

I'm going to be installing a new outside PIR and dual light setup for a relative. They have been plagued by integrated dual light/PIR setups which keep failing, so I'm installing a dual head bracket:

Two 10W LED lights and the following PIR:

This way when something fails, it will only be a single item to replace rather than a full unit.

The PIR is to be mounted on the centre of a dashed wall - not on the corner. The issue I'm having with the installation is that the cable to the PIR will be coming from above. Do I mount the PIR using the corner bracket and feed the cable down in between the centre gap - ensuring the is still a drip loop on the wires prior to connections; or should the wire be brought down externally alongside it and then looped up into the connections - without use of the corner bracket?

The former way would have the cabling neater (straight line), but the PIR would extend more from the wall due to the corner bracket. The latter way would require the cable to be clipped out of the centre line in order to bypass the PIR and loop back up into the connections.

I'd really rather not bore through the wall for this - the current cabling just up the wall and into the soffit through into the building (a garage). My plan was to put a junction box at top of wall in the garage to joint all this together. I'm just unsure if I have the correct PIR for the job or what is the best way to run the cabling.

    Thanks.
