Can anyone explain how Electric Ireland's Home Electric + Saver tariff works?

There are 2 different kW rates on the bill, 0.28 / 0.39 with different unit usage for these rates. I am thinking they are rates depending on time of day/night but there is nothing on the bill to confirm this. Thanks.

I am not seeing that plan currently on EI website, The Electric+ Plans are usually smart plans, but the only ones now showing are

    Electric+ (24hr)

    Electric+ SST (Day/Night/Peak)

    Electric+ Night Boost (Day/Night/Night boost)

Normal Day/Night plans are called Night saver.

Any more info you can give us?

I called Electric Ireland today Friday 3rd March, at about 4pm was told waiting time was 30 minutes but no one picked up until 45 minutes. I spoke to a lady who said she was in the Pay as You Go dept and couldn’t deal with my query about Smart Meters. She will get someone to call me from the Smart Meter Dept but this wouldn’t be possible until Tuesday of next week. I want someone to explain the benefits of having a smart meter and how I can use it to control our costs. At the moment I’m on a flat rate of €0.39c per kw less 26% discount = €.02938c. This is really poor customer service but typical of the crap we consumers are used to in this country
