I drive a company car, I was properly parked in the marked parking spot. When I was driving in reverse (van), I hit another car that was illegally parked on the road.

the car has small scratches on the doors and bumper.

the incident happened in a private parking lot where there are approximately 120 parking spaces where cars for sale are parked.

I would like to mention that I parked a car that was left on the road (illegally).

The owner of the cleaning company I work for is demanding that I pay for the damage even though the accident happened during my working hours.

    They have fleet incurance.

Please some advice....what is my rights

    what is my rights

You damaged their property. Why should they claim off their insurance and see their premium rise as a result of your damage?

You drive a company car/van so your insurance is fleet/company also. I wouldn't pay a cent towards it. It's an accident and that's why you have insurance. Check your contract of employment (if you got one) and see if there is anything specific about paying for damage.

I understand, but something is not clear to me.

Are you saying that every employee who uses a company car should pay with his wallet if he damages that car?

The company should use its insurance for this. That's what it's for.

But I would be giving the employee a written warning for it if I was the boss.

Your a cleaner if I read it right, Loads of jobs out there if you just want to move on if they are giving you hassle.

the fact that the car you clipped was illegally parked is immaterial.

and i'd assume any fleet manager knows **** happens with cars, for whatever reason. i know guys who did far worse to cars and were not expected to stump up. happened me, someone smashed the wing mirror off a car i'd been given, the day after i got it, but there was no suggestion i would have to cover it.
