    Hi.

I want to start investing by putting a small amount each month into something like Vanguard S&P 500 fund. But how do I actually go about making this investment? Is it always necessary to sit with a local broker who takes a commission? I would like to skip this and try to deal with Vanguard directly. Maybe this is not possible.

    Thanks.

There's an app called Trading 212 that has Vanguard products. It would be more suitable for small, regular investments.

I would strongly advise researching the taxes on ETFs in Ireland first.
