If you start a new job on the middle of one month but first pay will be 25th of following month do I get 6 weeks pay together.

    You should.

Although I would have thought you should get paid in the month you started.

10 days is plenty for payroll to have you set up.

If you can get onto myaccount and assign your employer, they should easily get you sorted for this month.

I am not starting until new year but I was told it would be following month which is tough waiting that long especially after Christmas!

With these kind of things an awful lot depends on if they do their own payroll or it is done by a third party. Usually third parties have different fees for setting up new employees as an emergency mid month and so on...

I guess you could ask if it could be speed up or if they could give you some kind of advance, but it never looks good on the first day to do this. Can you not find a relative or friend to sub you? Or perhaps ask for a short term overdraft at your bank?

I started my current job in the middle of a month. They had me set up and paid for the rest of the month a week later. I wasn't expecting to be paid until the following month. That's where savings, or a credit card works to tie you over.
