this is interesting because the last few that were being sold didn't have a case included and someone on the original dyson thread was asked for 67 euro for a case if they wanted to purchase one, but this one seems to have it included

Jaysus had got the missus the supersonic hairdryer for her gift, not 10 minutes ago she mentioned how she’d entered a competition for an air wrap today…feck!

Guess it’ll be getting returned - have just ordered one of these, it better arrive on time…only have two days of margin between the expected delivery date and my 30 day return for the supersonic lapsing

Do it the other way around then. My missus is obsessed with the dryer but she didn't want it till I got her one. Now she can't live without it.

Dryer first it's way better and more useful everyday. The wrap is just a fancy straightener so not as good.

Hi, is this the newer version? It says was 449, the new one online is 549. Is it that it was reduced to 449 for the damaged box and now they knocked another 25% off? Serious bargain if thats the case... Ordered anyways

Ordered Airwrap on Monday night, shipped Tuesday, arrived via An Post Wednesday.

Well packed in cardboard box with small print that it is from Dyson. The contents are all in the case which is in a plain brown Dyson box, inside the cardboard box. Not the usual retail packaging. Looks brand new.

It does but it's not great. I have the airwrap and I basically only use it as a dryer, and I've been seriously thinking of just getting the dryer. It'll depend a lot on the kind of hair she has, and also her patience level because the airwrap is a slow way to achieve results.

I know you said that you basically use it as a dryer but did you find that it worked to curl your hair? I have thick, straight hair and would love something that might help put a bit of a wave or curl into my hair once in a while.

I have fine, straight hair and the curls just fall right out. It also takes a really long time to do! I have a GHD that’s just far faster and easier to do curls with, but I think they do hold a lot better on thicker hair.

Yeah see I would but my dilemma is that we’d agreed to exchange gifts on the 21st before she goes away home for Christmas - if I return the supersonic now and the Airwrap is only a day late being delivered it’ll leave me empty handed

I’m saying start the return so you have the return accepted and label printed etc, you don’t have to follow through with it

someone tried a return with dyson the other day and had ti wait 3 days for a return label

OK, Ordered Wednesday morning and landed this morning, 50 hours in total. Item is brand new, the outer shipping carton is normal brown cardboard with Dyson label. The inner packaging is also brown with Dyson printed on it. From a quick google, it looks like it would usually be a white box around the item with pictures etc so that must be the difference. They have replaced the damaged box. Bargain if you ask me, but would be curious of the warranty as it is new and not a refurb

I sent a message and followed up today. Then got my "shipped" email about an hour later. Got a generic message back saying it takes 7-10 business days to ship. Clearly just a detached call centre that isn't looking into it at all.

Also got a receipt from Dyson and that shows it is the €549 one, shows as that price on their site too. Not sure if it was already discounted to 440 and then 25% off for the damaged box bringing it down again. But either way it's a bargain as long as it shows up and is in good condition.

Nah. dont think so. Saw a white printed box online and was thinking the damaged box as they call it had been replaced by the brown box. No idea really but either way the box will go in the bin anyways. ..... A great bargain.

Has anybody returned an item to Dyson? I submitted a request a week ago and received an email today from eBay saying - "dysonoutlet.ie let us know that they can't buy a return shipping label for you to use - The seller is still responsible for return shipping costs, so contact them to arrange return shipping"

Seems to be a real mess of a returns system as the return request was sent to Dyson and it took them a week to respond via eBay, now I am supposed to contact them again to arrange return shipping!

Their support seems ridiculous. I emailed them and the reply was "We can't give a shipping label as we'll collect" with no other details. I followed up but got the same reply that they would collect, but no details on when.

Mine arrived this morning as well and I was thinking the same. I believe Dyson use the outlet to reduce surplus stock rather than reducing items in the main stores.
