mystery short in peugeot 308

    My son has a 131 peugeot 308 diesel. He has a persistent problem. At first i did not believe it. one (or other )of his headlamp bulbs blows.

    next thing car will not turn over, flat battery.

    The battery is new this year.

    I am now believing him, perhaps there is a short somewhere that causes the bulb to blow. In the meantime this short flattens the battery.

    Something on these lines. Any thoughts

    the car battery is reading over 12.6 volts, starter does not activate, though tiny clicking noises come from the fuse box beside the battery.

    jump leads dont help

    fifty people looked, no ideas anyone

    am fairly certain, from an earlier time that its something inside the "relay box" 9My words) beside the battery
