Redeployment Public Service

    Has anyone ever been granted a redeployment in the public service due to a disability. When I have to attend the office it is an hours commune so it's a 10 hour day. It's taken it's tole on my health even with blended working. I was wondering would it be possible to get redeployed to another state agency closer to where I live on account of my disability.

    Maybe contact your Disability Liaison Officer if your organisation has one.

    I will check it out. I'm going to see if I can less days in the office and take it from there. Ultimately I need to be working closer to home and I was hoping it might be an option. It's a long shot but I'm going to try and suss it out.

    Additional working from home in your current place is far more likely.

    Yes that looks the more likely scenario. I have a letter from my consultant requesting same so hopefully it will happen.
