Intergas Rapid - boiler service

Have an Intergas Rapid boiler which is working fine, is coming up to three years old and looking to get annual service done.

Booked it in with Bord Gais as recently switched to them as my energy provider, boiler service is discounted as a new customer to €50. Booked in and paid for the service.

Engineer came out and looked at boiler, didn't open it up or anything and said that he needed seals which he didn't have with him, said he would go and get seals and ring me back to arrange to do the service in next few days. Three weeks later no call back, contacted customer care team on Twitter and got a call back this morning. Seal kit is needed, costs €56 + VAT and labour extra to complete the service.

Anyone else out there have this boiler and have this same issue with Bord Gais or other provider? Bord Gais serviced this boiler for me in the past and there was no extra charge for seals or anything like that.
