Replacing Ceiling Lights/ Old Fittings/Ceiling Rose

    Hi folks.

Any ideas with replacing this light fitting? I want to replace the old victorian style light fittings with a modern one.

The main problem is the existing ceiling fitting is small by todays standards, about 8cm diameter and seems to be made to fit the exact dimensions of the ceiling rose. Most modern light fittings seem to be 13cm plus?

As the entire ceiling is wallpapered. I'd prefer to keep the ceiling rose as it is for now.

Any one had a similar situation? Or does anyone know if there are new light fittings with an 8cm diameter?

    Thanks

  • PS: Any experience of sourcing replacement hook covers for a ceiling rose and sourcing modern lights that are hung by hook and chain?

Your new fitting will look ok once it’s fitted centrally

it’ll cover the centre of that ceiling rose but I wouldn’t worry about that
