    Hi,

I Have a Hyundai ix35 with just over 50,000 miles on it. Earlier on in the year 4th gear starting getting tricky to get into gear then gradually happened to all other gears. Back in July got a 2nd hand gearbox fitted it with new clutch etc. This gearbox now shagged. I have the original gearbox still so want to get it reconditioned. I'm located in Connemara. My question is, can anyone recommend somewhere in the country that I can bring/courier my original gearbox to to get it fixed this week ? and any idea on how much for this ? TIA

Try ringing gearbox specialists. There are a few in Dublin. Compare price to another second hand one, but as you are aware second hand ones may be mostly worn by the time they end up in a scrap yard.
