It's meant to irritate the opposition and I would suspect it works.

Did he call DeAllende a **** Robbie Henshaw I wonder.

He spotted whatever that was but misses two knock ons while looking at them and a player getting driven into the ground right in front of him.

Yeah that's true. Can't really complain about good ol' fashioned shithousery.

That was a monstrously physical first half. We handled it extremely well, but I don't know if we can keep it up for another half. Need to keep South Africa away from our 22.

Desperately need Ryan and Furlong on for the second half. They've held up well in contact.

I've no issue with that as long as he's consistent. The only issue I have with him so far is he got the card cour wrong with the deliberate tip tackle.

Maybe that’s why neither got a red, because they couldn’t determine who was more at fault and bottled sending both off.

Someone should have gotten red that is for sure.

I thought Murray mixed the good with the bad.

Defended very well, was good around the fringes and at the breakdown. His passing was simply not good enough, inaccurate and not sure about his decision making given how many times his chosen first receiver got flattened (not just Sexton). His kicking also not good enough, we didn't contest well at all on our own ball and the chasing runners weren't at fault from what I could see.

I would disagree about the ball speed from the ruck, but part of that is down to Gibson Park being particularly rapid compared to other 9's in Ireland.

How much are Touch Judges say about referee decisions. Mathieu Raynal seemed to be indicating he wasn't happy with the referee decision but he didn't state it straight out.

Our passing hasn't been great. Too many high passes that the reciever has to reach up for. Absolutely asking to be cut in half with those type of passes against this defense.

Doris thrives in these high intensity games. Been one of the best players on the pitch.

Raynal was hinting strongly to ref that he was wrong. Ref didn't bite.

    Ah shite.

Bealham on for an injured Furlong.

It was clear as day that Klobe was at fault. The TMO said to watch his actions.

It didn't look like PSDT was doing much wrong at all, if I'm honest.

Murray played alright under a lot of pressure I thought, mixed the good with the bad. Nice break, good kicks, got snagged, did well at the back of the scrum for one of our turnovers. I don't think he's "finished" at this level as some are declaring, in a game like this you need his physicality. We'll see how JGP goes in the second half.

    Ringrose having a stormer

Yeah thats what I was thinking. Is Raynal not allowed say it straight out.

    Bealham on for Furlong.

The physical nature of this game showing big time.

This is now perfect World cup preparation with Bealham on

  • Get the ball away ffs

The difference between JGP and Murray is lightyears

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,603 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Ringrose was brilliant in those phases of play. Made in in tight carry over the gainline, then immediately popped up to be first receiver in two of the next three phases when Sexton was down injured.

Arms in the tackle are an optional extra it seems.

It's ridiculous how much better our attack looks like JGP compared to Murray.

Murray so ill suits our game now that he shouldn't really be selected tbh.

Carberry for Sexton in the next 10 mins or so. See how he copes. These are the games we need to try him in. Nothing at stake.

It seems we have little luck from above when it comes to injuries...literally any player was at risk of not being involved (including Henshaw) has been either missed out or went off.

Hanson had a hand on his shoulder pushing him down before jumping to compete for an arial ball too. Blatant as anything
