Were there not an interview with the neighbour and some picture floating around ? Could be wrong.

Right, best not to say to much on here, though police are watching.

Yes, but a lot of the current polarisation in US is down to him.

And the candidates he whole heartedly supports, his own family have as good as made bloody jokes about it.

FFS he, his family and his cronies are toxic individuals.

One can argue (including myself at times) he is the end result of the disconnect between ordinary people and the political classes, but fook me pink he is an odious fooker without one redeeming personality trait.

Added to that he is a moron, as one can easily ascertain after listening to him for a few moments.

And what is even more surprising is how seemingly intelligent people are supporting him and even worse eejits in Ireland backing him.

It never ceases to amaze me when you get people in Ireland going out of their way to defend him, usually the kind of spanners who think we should follow Britain out of the UK.

    Thanks for posting those links.

It seems the situation developed exactly as outlined in the report I posted in November.

It seems that some of the anti Pelosi mob just won't let go even now.

Some of the comments on Twitter are truly shocking.

It appears that the police were neighbourhood cops and did what they are trained to do ie. try to calm the situation and figure out what is going on.

A more specialist unit would have moved quicker to neutralise the suspect and take the weapon out of play.

I don't know the protocols for SFPD in an incident like this but if they knew it was Pelosi's house maybe an escalation of the response would have been justified.

Not wishing to be over critical as I'm sure the officers did their best.

Republicans haven't learned anything from it, this week Insurrectionist and fastest hall runner in Congress Josh Hawley re-introduced a congressional stock trade act by naming it the Pelosi Act.

There is indeed a segment of the population that not only would rather she and her husband been brutally murdered but they continue to pour salt on the wounds to make themselves feel even more smug.

    Fascists are as fascists do.

What worries me is the level of support and its growth.

It genuinely would not surprise me if there was some sort of civil war in the US in the next couple of decades.

Not all-out necessarily, but even localised in the interface areas of some of the most overwhelmingly conservative and nationalist regions.

Public discourse is basically broken in America. Promoting criminality and sedition have become completely normalised and the consequences of that are beginning to show.

The right wing conspiracies will continue until their morale improves

RACHEL CAMPOS-DUFFY: I’ll tell you what’s interesting to me, that you don’t hear Nancy Pelosi angry at the Capitol Police. I find it very, very interesting. I know Jason Chaffetz, some other Republicans have said this is a big fail on the part of Capitol Police, that there was not any anybody guarding that house.

PETE HEGSETH: Do they guard it when she’s not there? I don’t think they do.

RACHEL CAMPOS-DUFFY: Well, they should. Given all the things that are happening. But she’s very, very oddly soft with the Capitol Police. One has to wonder why.

WILL CAIN: You do wonder why that footage was not released earlier and if it was law enforcement attempting to CYA on their own response, not picking up the hints, not understanding the severity of the situation all the way up to the moment when that hammer is swung.

PETE HEGSETH: Thankfully, at some level, the dispatcher picked up the hints, but even the officers coming to the home, it’s not clear they knew it was Nancy Pelosi’s home. Maybe they did, maybe they didn’t. They’re like, are we at the right address? But they did act quickly. I mean, the minute that hammer was swung, they were in and on him.

RACHEL CAMPOS-DUFFY: It’s weird because as somebody who, you know, my husband was not, you know, the speaker of the House, but every officer in town knew where our house was because that is a potential, you know, target. And so, a lot of, a lot of unanswered questions. But we do need to make sure that our law, our our lawmakers are protected.

PETE HEGSETH: And that’s why on that phone call, he kept saying, “I’m Paul Pelosi.” You know, “Nancy Pelosi’s house.” And eventually, thankfully, they caught on.

RACHEL CAMPOS-DUFFY: So we want to show you going to move to another topic, which is the border.

Update on the case, the defense employs a novel legal strategy - which if it works, sets an alarming precedent, like a new take on the insanity plea, eg. 'my client wasn't trying to retaliate for her work in congress, or for her politics, or for MAGA etc., my client was trying to kidnap pelosi because he thought she ate babies'
