HELP !!!! water under shed door

I did a self build of a wooden shed using shiplap front and back wall, using gable end and garden wall for the side walls.

As you can see the already there footpath is to the left of pic, and the concrete i had poured and 'levelled' by myself is to the right ........

I have 'levelled' in '''s for a reason, as it soon was apparent that i didnt do a good job levelling it, and it is actually sloping back into the shed !!!!?!?!? 😣

So all rain hit the shed face on (facing west) and runs down, hits the concrete and runs in under the door......

Has anyone any idea what i could do?

Everytime it rains it makes me anxious cos i know all the rain is going inside the bloody shed.....

I cant put a drain along the end of the front wall , as the nearest drain is back behind the shed (about 12ft away)

I was just gonna get a con saw, and dig it up .

Its coming between me and (my wifes) sleep .......

    HELP !! 😒

Difficult one as you can't work against gravity.

Could you infill the base of the shed with 3-5cm's of a skim and cut a water channel for a pipe going to the grass area? That way the shed will be protected from the runoff and you'll also drain it into the grass. Might cause the door to swell though if it's sitting in a puddle, maybe you need to look at it's clearance?

I had similar and believe it or not a simple door mat solved the issue 🤷‍♂️ Seemed to just hold up the water long enough run to one side

The 'front' door opens outwards , so i could maybe raise an edge inside the door to keep out the rain, but still have the problem of where is the rain supposed to go !

The problem is , its west facing, and the rain/wind comes from the west , so all the rain is hitting that front wall of the shed, and down onto the ground, so so theres always a lot of standing water....... so youd need a deep drain / steep run off for it to be brought away, and then where is it going to go !? 😣

it all comes in under the door, not leaking from any other point, i know the clearance is a problem (maybe 2ins off the floor) but i had to do that to allow for the slant ! 😣

Bu teven dropping the door lower wouldnt keep out the water, and it has no where to go ......

Is that concrete the floor of your shed?

TBH that shed isn't going to last very long, the bottom of it is going to rot. Wooden sheds need to be raised off the ground so that they aren't sitting in water.

    Yes, yes it is .....

As the previous posts said, only water getting in is the front door ....

I would cut and remove the outside concrete (not your house slab obvs), put in a slot drain, and then some gravel grid or whatever for drainage and to reduce rain splash.

Probably going to involve partial disassembly of the shed though. You don't fancy taking it down and doing it properly? 😀

Yea, but any wooden structure that's in contact with the ground will rot due to standing water. The circled portion below is not going to last too long.

Generally wooden sheds are raised up on blocks so that water can flow underneath them, without the standing water coming into contact with the base of the shed.

I guess what I'm saying is, water getting in the door is only one of the problems you have unfortunately. 🙁

    I know , thats the problem ....

    Standing water.....

So if i cut away the concrete up to the wall of the shed, there would be no standing water ...... ?

Try fitting an Aco drain from house wall to edge of shed,(this time get the fall right!) dig a large hole in lawn and fill with clean pebbles pipe water from Aco drain into this it should be OK as a soakaway. As an aside - fit a flashing trim on edge where side wall meets roof.

Is this wall the only wooden wall in the shed? What is holding it up?

I'm having a hard time thinking how you'd do this properly tbh.
