Is this a reliable and good car, specifically in diesel guise from 2016 onwards?

Generally yes, most French stuff post 2008 (ironically) is average or above average. Not Toyota levels of reliability, but still good and engines are well proven.

There can be issues with the AdBlue system in terms of the injector or the entire tank needing replacement. A fix is expensive (€600 plus) if outside of the five year warranty. The front shock absorber mounts can give trouble and the rear exhaust box mount tends to crack (needing either a new box or just a weld to fix). Diesel injectors can work loose but that's not a big fix. Other than that, they're reliable, cheap to run and service and a better option than the 1.2 petrol with the timing belt issues.

Do all diesel versions of the 2008 have this AdBlue system?

I don't think that the earlier 1.4 HDi used AdBlue but the 1.6 HDi from 2016 onwards did. There may be 2015 1.6 engined cars using it too as Peugeot launched the Euro 6 compliant diesels in early 2016 but I've seen 2015 2008s that don't use AdBlue. If its described as a Blue HDI then it uses AdBlue - some were badged like that on the boot and some weren't. If you're looking at a particular car, you'll likely see it described as Blue HDI on its Cartell record as in the image below. If there's any doubt, look under the spare wheel in the boot, you'll find the AdBlue tank filler there if its fitted.

pretty much anything from late 2015 would be Euro6 and would need AdBlue.
